Founded by Drs. Greg and Keyue Smedley (Caltech PhDs) in August 2004, One-Cycle Control, Inc. manufactures breakthrough power electronics technology for high-performance, high efficiency, and high-density power conversion, creating jobs in California. We envision any power thing has “OCC inside.”
OCC appreciates grants from the federal/state government and early customer engagements that fueled early-stage growth from concept to product. OCC has completed and tested our modular, scalable production lines for volume production in the last three years. We will consider value-added investment opportunities to expand market presence and production capacity.

OCC Technology
Invented at the California Institute of Technology and the University of California, the new-generation DC/DC and 3-phase AC power converter technology attracted interest from the U.S. Department of Energy, the U.S. Department of Defense, the California Energy Commission, and the California Institute for Energy and Environment.
The OCC technology hallmarks include an ultra-fast response that enables our products to track fast commands, quench sharp transients, and reject dynamic disturbances.
High power density is a unique feature that allows our products to fit in commercial server racks, be shipped via commercial carriers, and minimize raw material use.
OCC modular approach facilitates standardized multiple product lines and is scalable for 0-1000 Hz and kVA to MVA applications.

Power electronics is essential for all consumer, communication, computation, industrial, transportation, defense, and space applications. Presently, most power electronics products sold in the US today are imported. OCC is a premium domestic brand in power electronics and sources materials domestically, helping boost US technical competitiveness, enhance the US economy, and create more US jobs.
