Project Manager/Scheduler
Job Description
Create, maintain & update schedules (with an MS Project equivalent software): Project Schedule of Research & Dev. Activities.
Production, Procurement, Facility schedule, and Quality ISO activities schedules. Identify schedule critical path. Constantly communicate with supply chain and engineering team to update schedules and coordinate execution of critical actions.
Find an efficient way to report schedule slips, maintain a mitigation plan and communicate status to the team.
Identify critical Human Resources & critical equipment based on workload schedule projections. Support/interface with OCC major suppliers to improve procurement lead times and mitigate schedule slips.
Plan, schedule, and manage the materials for delivering time-critical components to support the assigned production area.
Work with suppliers or Supply Chain to establish the appropriate delivery quantity and frequency for Just In Time delivery and line-side kanban; coordinate with Supply Chain Specialist and Logistics as needed.
Define the inbound quantities and due dates from vendors, identify system demand or BOM issues, and resolve inventory discrepancies.
Generate and provide forecasts on a regular basis to support production build plans, minimize freight costs, and optimize inventory levels. Assist in implementing systematic solutions to control inventory flow, and minimize shortages.
Assist with inventory control activities. Generate and publish metrics of performance.
Qualification
BS or MS in a technical area with industrial and leadership experience.
General
US citizenship or green card required.
Avid self-learner, self-motivated, and team-oriented. Ability to efficiently and effectively manage time and complete tasks. Good written and verbal communication skills. Attention to detail, motivated, self-reliant, and honest.
