• Product Design and Development

• Electro-mechanical design and component selection

• FEA and engineering calculation

• Design document release

• CAD design and drawing updates

• Prototype build and test

• Participation in internal and customer-facing design reviews

• Technical report generation

• Manufacturing Improvements

• Design of facility equipment for new projects

• Drafting work instructions

• Design of tools/jigs

• Participation in Continuous Improvement Projects

• Collaboration with a multidisciplinary team to support manufacturing.

Qualification

• BS in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent field (GPA>3.5)

• Fundamental mechanical design

• Thermal dynamics

• Fluent with CAD

• Fundamental electrical understanding (basic circuit analysis, etc.)

• Experience with CAD (Solidworks Preferred)

• Experience with basic mechanical assembly tools (screwdrivers, socket wrenches, etc.)

• Experience with basic mechanical fabrication tools (drill press, jig saw, etc)

Preferred

• CFD modeling

• Experience with high power systems

• Experience with Toyota Production System

• Experience in leadership

General

US citizenship or green card required.

Avid self-learner, self-motivated, and team-oriented. Ability to efficiently and effectively manage time and complete tasks. Good written and verbal communication skills. Attention to detail, motivated, self-reliant, and honest.
