Job Description

1. Documentation

  • Route documents, get approval

  • Write/update SOPs

  • Manage manufacturing records

  • Manage manufacturing logs

  • Prepare reports and quality metrics

    Skill required:

    • File management skills

    • Spreadsheet skills

    • Understanding of manufacturing process

2. Supplier coordinator:

  • Communicate with suppliers to ensure on-time delivery (high price, long lead items: PCBs, busbars, cabinets, manifolds, crating,...)

  • Supplier management: Evaluate suppliers/PO. Follow up with issues from suppliers.

  • Be a bridge between OCC & suppliers (work with quality/purchasing manager)

    Skill required:

    • Understanding of external timing (lead time, delivery/shipping, process required, components required, …)

    • Excellent communication skill

    • Able to adopt OCC inventory philosophy (0 Bin, 2 bin, multi-bin)

3. Assist scheduling effort:

  • Assist production in launching IWO for products in the push-based system

  • Assist production in presenting schedules for products in a pull-based system. Record and report actual metrics back to managers

    Skill required:

    • Basic understanding of internal timing (scheduling, cycle time, product life, …)

    • Excellent communication skill

    • Understand OCC practices

4. Support and backup

  • Support Quality manager to maintain QMS

  • Backup for various positions

Qualification

Associate or BS degree in a technical area.

General

US citizenship or green card required.

Avid self-learner, self-motivated, and team-oriented. Ability to efficiently and effectively manage time and complete tasks. Good written and verbal communication skills. Attention to detail, motivated, self-reliant, and honest.
